On World Mental Health Day, October 10, Prince George’s County mother and Holistic Homes, Inc. founder Lisa Bass Cooper will honor the memory of her late daughter, Camille Holman, by turning lived experience into action for adults and families navigating mental illness. In partnership with NAMI Prince George’s County, Holistic Homes will host “Healing Beyond the Clinic,” where it will launch the pilot of Himmer, an AI-powered mental health wellness app designed to connect adults in recovery with personalized wellness resources, community-based support, and services that address the whole person—not just the diagnosis.
Camille helped inspire Lisa’s vision for a recovery model rooted in dignity, creativity, wellness, and person-centered care, making this both a deeply personal story and a timely look at mental health disparities and barriers to support in Prince George’s County. Lisa Bass Cooper is available for TV, radio, podcast, and print interviews, and media are invited to cover the October 10 forum and Himmer App demonstration at the Hyattsville Public Library.
